The Rochester XTreme Hockey League is the premier spring hockey program in the Rochester area. With over 450 participants, the RXHL ranks as one of the largest and most popular spring programs in New York State.
We offer a FUN, affordable, and convenient way to cap off the season for players 5-18 years old. The program runs from April through mid-May and the playoffs are completed before Memorial Day weekend, so the kids have time to enjoy the nice weather and play other sports! Whether your child participates in house or travel, we offer programs for all skill levels from Mites all the way up to a highly competitive High School/Junior level.

The Rochester XTreme Hockey League is excited to announce several improvements for the 2012 season! The RXHL has reached a point at which we are now large enough to begin to create more divisions and competitive levels of play. Below is a list of some of the improvements:

NEW HOUSE AND TRAVEL DIVISIONS:
The RXHL has reached a pivotal point in the growth of the league. The league has expanded at such a rapid rate over the years that we are now able to accommodate a broader range of players and offer seperate divisions for House and Travel players. This assures that players will participate at the appropriate competitive level, which is critical for their skill development and their enjoyment.

HOUSE:
There are significant improvements to how we will operate the house level beginning this season. The most important is a structured playing time format that will allow all players to participate equally. After all, this league is ALL about FUN and we want to be sure we are creating that atmosphere for everyone! This improvement will help players gain confidence and grow with players of similar skill.

TRAVEL:
This is a major step for the RXHL. This is the first time that we will offer a travel only level. There will be two divisions at the travel level; 12U and 10U. At the travel level we will allow teams to be mostly “pre-formed.” Our 14U level will remain ‘mixed’ and we have created a new High School Prep 3 on 3 division for travel players in the 7th and 8th grades.

NEW HIGH SCHOOL PREP DIVISION:
For more than 10 years the RXHL High School/Junior 3 on 3 division has been the premier place to play for Rochester's best players. In 2011 over 150 of the top High School and Junior players participated in our Major and Minor programs. We have now created a NEW division designed for 7th and 8th grade travel players with the same rules and format!

LIVE SCORING WITH POINTSTREAK:
A major improvement! All of our games will be scored LIVE through our iPad using Pointstreak software! You will be able to follow games right from home in real time, and access statistics instantly.

MORE GAMES: We have added an additional game for our 10U, 12U, and 14U levels! This brings the total games to a minimum of 10 with the possibility of 11, and total ice times to a possible 13.
